On Sunday at Pekin First Nazarene, we started a new summer series - TopicsExpress

On Sunday at Pekin First Nazarene, we started a new summer series for 2014 called. “A LOVING LIFE”. It is our study of I Corinthians 13. We had a terrific introduction to the series in worship yesterday. We recognized that this well-known Scripture passage is a very radical call to loving God and loving others that most of us do not measure up to. Only Jesus in us can help us to live out this kind of Loving Life in all our relationship and attitudes. This Scripture certainly called us all out! Two short verses got our attention: I Corinthians 14:1 says: “Let LOVE be your greatest aim”. Would you say that is true for you? Your greatest aim? What changes would you need to make for that to happen? I Corinthians 16:14 says: “Let ALL that you do be done in love.” Once again, that is a radical calling from God’s Word. Think about your day today. Are you doing everything in LOVE? So, we must intentionally decide to grow in love, learn how Jesus did it and PRACTICE love in our relationships to become the loving person God created us to be. Join me in developing a loving life and practically living out the kind of love God taught us in I Corinthians 13. During this series, I will be expressing “A LOVING LIFE” Challenge and some steps you can take to make a habit of doing all things in love! I hope you will not only “like” this, but Dear friends, let us practice loving each other, for love comes from God and those who are loving and kind show that they are the children of God, and that they are getting to know him better.
