On Sunday morning, July 13th, the solar suitcase assembled by our Valencia College engineering and technology students was delivered to Bud Abt and his Kenya Distributed Journey Team from “Northland, A Church Distributed”. On Saturday afternoon, July 26th, the Northland Kenya Team will be delivering our Valencia students’ solar suitcase to the “Action for Children in Conflict” Country Director, John Muiruri, once the Northland team arrives in Nairobi, Kenya. A solar suitcase demonstration video was created for the Action for Children in Conflict folks by Dr. Hall with the help of Michael Maguire and his talented Video Productions support staff. Here are some photos of the July 13th solar suitcase “drop off” at Northland with Bud Abt and Dr. Deb Hall as well as two photos of the entire Kenya Team at Northland before they depart to Kenya. More photos to come from both Bud Abt and John Muiruri once our Valencia students’ solar suitcase arrives at the “Action for Children in Conflict” orphanage school in Thika, Kenya later this month.
