On Sunday we examined Rom. 12:1--6. As faithful followers of Chris, in view of Gods mercy and as our spiritual act of worship, Scripture urges each of us “to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.” Applied to our lives, the Apostle Paul instructs that we are to conform out hearts and minds to God’s ways (not the worlds -- i.e. His plans, purposes, ethics, etc.); to think more humbly of ourselves, doing so with sober-minded reflection, and to put to use the very gifts He has endowed us with in service to the Church. Think of it like a construction site: To some He gives the abilities to envision and draw up the plans, to others the skills of carpenters, electricians, heating and air condition, interior designers, furniture makers, landscapers and care takers, and he provides for those who manufacture the very materials needed to build with – brick and mortar, stone masons, glass/window manufacturers, plumbing and electric fixtures, flooring and furniture. And he provides overseers and project managers to ensure teams work well together – a multitude of people, each uniquely gifted, to help build a thing of beauty, strength and function. God is building his church in Brushy Creek and Round Rock. He has invited Hope to be a part of that process. As a tool to help you identify your spiritual gifts, please take a few moments to take this free spiritual gifts assessment, and then post your results on the wall. God is building his church, and he wants you to be a part of that process, utilizing the very tools (or gifts) he has endowed you with. https://gifts.churchgrowth.org/cgi-cg/gifts.cgi?intro=1
