On Thursday October 2nd, at about 8pm, the Mastic Fire Department - TopicsExpress

On Thursday October 2nd, at about 8pm, the Mastic Fire Department and EMS were both activated for an MVA with reported overturn and entrapment. The scene was up the road from Mastic FDs headquarters on Mastic Blvd so units arrived very shortly after the dispatch and advised that they had a confirmed overturn but the driver had self extricated. Fire department members secured the vehicle while EMS evaluated the driver and transported him to a local hospital with minor injuries. Fire department units went back in service shortly after while police remained on scene for ESU to upright the vehicle. The road was reopened at about 8:40 PM .
