On #Tyranny in America, local enclaves, Uncle Sam, Black and White ... The truth is, black and white in this country have had different memories and current experiences of tyranny. Many blacks fear local (and historically proven and well-documented) tyranny, while many whites fear (theoretical and abstract, even imaginary in some cases) federal government tyranny. When that dichotomy has relevance to party politics (Democrat/Republican) or political dispensation (liberal/conservative), it expresses itself with ease. This is the real conversation. This is the real controversy. Not all the made up garbage that passes for punditry on the news networks around these issues. When I look at the lily white line separating that PUBLIC courthouse from that Black Senator and her 70,000 signatures, it reminds me of all the good people who stand by and filter their way around the cognitive dissonance they fear (unnecessarily) the will experience from truly looking at the headlines of the day. These people are not in the military, but 2 decades from now, theyll tell a documentary filmmaker that they had orders. Virtual onlookers and commentators prefer to ignore ALL THIS, good people that they are, but 2 decades from now they will claim to have been outraged.
