On Wednesday I ate at Olive Garden and my experience was a good example on how continual cost cutting is totally ruining their brand. First of all, the cuts they have made to waitstaff is no secret, which leads to poor service. On Wednesday our server told us she was new so she wasnt that familiar with the menu. But, she continued to point to a dish on their featured menu and told us loudly and passionately that this item was disgusting. She seemed proud and totally unaware of how grossly inappropriate that is to say, not just as an employee, but generally speaking because how does that reflect on the rest of the menu? Anyway, I know I wont be surprised when this next round of cost cutting finishes them off completely.
