On Wednesday, June 25, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Elizabeth Cano and I are sponsoring a fundraiser at mi Tierra Restaurant in Elizabeth for a dear friend who suffers from cancer. He is only 22 years old; a brilliant young man who has so much to offer to our community, to our lives. Someone I am happy to call not only a friend but family. He often tells me that I have been his mentor but honestly I have learned more from him then he could ever learn from me. As you can imagine, bills are piling up despite insurance coverage; Elizabeth and I are planning a fundraiser for him on June 25. Suggested donation is only $35 which will include dinner, sangria and beer...but of course, we would appreciate any donation possible for this wonderful person and friend. Donations are made payable to Janeth Ospina, his mother, and mailed to 832 Bailey Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ c/o Frank Cuesta. Remember, no donation is too small.
