On Wednesday, October 8th, my super sweet loving and remarkable daughter, Erin Moore, celebrates her 31st birthday. As her mom, she is the light of my life, and rarely does a day pass without me thinking about her. She has worked hard and endured many hardships with a smile on her face, as she put herself through school, followed her dreams with a level head (which she got from her father) and is making our world a better place to live. I keep this photograph of her on the fridge in my jungle home, to remember her heart warming way of connecting with people where ever she travels. I took this one when I was doing research in Bolivia, many years ago, when I brought her and my youngest son, Jeremy Moore, back to visit me. I call this Barbie of the Jungle. Her radiant smile reminds me daily of the wonderful person she is, with her laughter and sense of humor. The second photo is from her graduation from medical school this past summer, the last time I saw her. As her mother, my heart is full of joy and pride in her.
