On Wednesday former Prime Minister Julia Gillard came to Granville to help raise funds for my campaign. Among friends and admirers, she talked about her achievements and challenges in office and the work shes doing now to promote education internationally. With her book on the best sellers lists, its no surprise that many guests bought their copies along to be signed. The guests included my Council colleagues; other State candidates Susai Benjamin, Ryan Tracey, Charishma Kaliyanda, OBray Smith and Cameron Murphy; and NSW Young Woman of the Year, Lakshmi Logathassan. We were blessed with great weather, yummy food and helpful volunteers so everyone had a great afternoon.
