On Wednesday, we got ONE day notice before National Grid told us they were going to jackhammer our driveway to bits and we need to clear out the whole front of our basement so they can install new gas lines and move our meter. Today, we come home to this!!! Yes, it is because of the weather, but nobody gave us proper instructions on the work they were going to do and what to do if the weather is bad. Im not a construction expert, so tell me how many days it takes to dry and maybe we could have put a tarp down or something. When you have a disabled person and two infants living in the house, this is not safe and Im sure that we are not the first house in middle village or glendale that this has happened to during all of this construction lately. Our basement is now flooded, as well as two other neighbors that we know of so far.
