On Wednesday, we held a Burger Cooking Competition for our staff. Ten of our talented cooks competed for the best burger, and there were some incredible creations, including a Burger Oscar with crab, asparagus and bearnaise sauce, and Jerk Chicken on a Aged Cheddar and Grand Marnier Waffle. First, second and third prizes were available along with a well-named Best Buns award (keep your mind out of the gutter!) In the end, Rachel Collins prevailed. A big thanks to our judges and sponsors for the generous gift of their time and awesome prizes: Bruce Boynton of Constellation Brands Canada, Keith Marshall of Steelton Produce and Wholesale and Steve Robinson of Russell Food Equipment Limited. And thank you to John Mitchell of Flanagan Food Services who still donated a generous prize even though he could not make it to be a judge.
