On a positive note: to gain perspective...Andy and I have been attending a church downtown Dayton for 2 years. It has opened our eyes to how much we have to be thankful for and how much every human being has in common regardless of religion, race, social, or economic background. I have made a dear friend who has had struggles that you and I could not even comprehend. She is a fighter and I love her dearly. She has nothing...no home or no material goods. The good news is she has gotten an apartment this week! She called me yesterday to share the news. You would have thought she won the lottery. I asked her what she was sleeping on. She said the floor...on her clothes (i could tell she was grinning from ear to ear).She was sitting on her porch on a bucket. The only piece of furniture she has. But she is thankful! I need her more than she needs me because she teaches me perspective. She is my angel. Just a thought...If u have anything you were going to give to the goodwill this week, could you save it for my friend ? She needs cleaning supplies, dishes, well...she needs a trash can and tooth brush, soap, deoderant and the things we take for granted. Anything is a blessing to this sweet lady. She gives me hope. :)
