On behalf of CARE and with the support of the Australian Embassy - TopicsExpress

On behalf of CARE and with the support of the Australian Embassy in Laos, I would like to extend an invitation to Lao men to Stand Up and Speak Out against violence against women. November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. This day is followed by 16 days of activism around the world. During this time CARE hopes to identify 16 men who are willing to talk about this issue and promote societal change. The only criteria are that you are male, you are a Lao national and you are willing to publicly promote an end to violence against women in Laos. Whilst men working in development are of course welcome, ideally we will end up with a spectrum of ages and occupations that includes men from all walks of life. If you or someone you know would like to be a Standing Up and Speaking Out Champion with CARE Laos, please contact me directly via Facebook message. The first step is simply to register your interest, either in Lao or in English.
