On behalf of Kathy Barnard: I am organizing a fundraiser for 4 year old Melissa, living here in Fort McMurray. She requires a cochlear implant to allow her to hear. She also suffers from Chronic ITP. Immune thrombocytopenia purpura (ITP) is a bleeding disorder, that is life altering and has caused this little girl to be very ill. She travels to Edmonton hospital one week every month for tests and treatments. Her family travels with her, which means her father loses a weeks wages each month, and has caused a financial burden.
