On behalf of the CTMBC. I would like to thank everyone that braved the conditions on Sunday & rode the Tour de Range Charity Ride . It was great to see such support from the Bathurst Cycle Club members as well as riders from Mudgee,Sydney,Blue Mountains & Lithgow area. As most of you area aware the 2 x charities that we had chosen to be the benefiters from this years ride fell over a couple of weeks prier so we were able to support the Sheil Family Appeal for young Connor who at the age of 14yrs has developed a brain tumour & has a rough road ahead of him. After a meeting last night we are able to let everyone know that we have raised $3000.00 for the appeal, thanks to the generosity of all who rode & participated in the days proceedings. I would also like to thank all who help out with driving cars, sweeping on motorbikes & running controls out on course & just anyone that help to make the day run smooth. I would also like to thank all our sponsors for the great prizes they either gave us or contributed towards which would of added up to around $10,000.00 :- Wallerawang Bowling Club, CTMBC, Wolgan Valley Emirates Resort,Thales ( Lithgow Arms ), 2BS Bathurst, Greengrocer Cycling, Kables Auto Electrics, Mark Renshaw, Marion Renshaw,iKOU Products,Valley Spring Water, Red Kellys Café,Lithgow Prints & Frames, Woolies Lithgow & Radio 2lt & also a special thanks to the Bathurst Rotary Club for the lone of the B2B signs. We are looking forward to making this event bigger & better next year if the weather is on our side. The lucky winner of the Wilier bike this year was Mrs Katrina Kable (who has just started MTB racing with her husband Michael ) with Thomas Stapleton winning the prize from Thales ( Lithgow Arms ) & a lot of happy faces from all the other lucky prize winners. The raffle had everyone with there ear close to there phone & the lucky winner was Mr Ken Brodrick from Mudgee ? with second prize of the framed signed riders jersey from Mark Renshaw going to Mrs Elaine Ryan & third prize of a hamper pack from iKOU Products going to Jette Mckellar.
