On behalf of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of the Western Cape I take this opportunity to thank you for submitting your annual membership of R100. Donations and membership fees contribute towards our efforts to facilitate service to those living with Multiple Sclerosis. I can assure you that all donations and sponsorships received are greatly appreciated and much needed in our quest to render services. 1. We facilitate services i.e. social services and occupational therapy 2. We conduct training workshops for all people involved with MS 3. We deliver information and support through newsletters 4. We conduct workshops informing and empowering persons with MS, their family members and carers 5. We establish communication and support channels where members stay far from city centres 6. We create MS awareness 7. We gather building blocks towards our big goal of establishing a care centre where persons with MS may be assisted by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals (no such facility in the whole of South Africa!) 8. We provide information on assistive devices and equipment needed to support persons with MS 9. All of the above need a well-oiled functioning office environment 10. We maintain open channels with international research projects 11. We stay on top of the latest information and channel through to our members 12. We assist members with medical aid issues 13. It is not always possible to express in a concrete way how funds are utilised or exactly needed. Multiple Sclerosis is such a debilitating disease ….. Lots of times a shoulder, an ear, a hug, a visit, etc are incredibly valuable…. Thank you for honouring us with your donation.
