On behalf of the UCTSCF executive committee for 2013/2014, the - TopicsExpress

On behalf of the UCTSCF executive committee for 2013/2014, the Blazing Crew, I would like to take this opportunity to convey our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all the ALUMNI of UCTSCF. We would like to thank all the organisers, the decorators, the media team, the band, the worship team, the Alumni association, the Guests, the camera men, the transporters, and everybody who made this day a possibility. Most importantly, we would like to thank all those who attended the event and stayed until the end. Indeed it was one of a kind. Of course, without God this service would not have been possible. We truly thank God for what He is doing at SCF and what He will continue to do. I send this report in my capacity as the outgoing PRO of the fellowship. I would humbly like to convey my sentiments about the event as a whole: Before the service: The planning of the service was a very difficult process that ended up being finalised on the week of the event. Many factors contributed to the delay of the finalisation processes. However, I am glad to say that through it all God remained faithful to us. He kept His word and made the best of what we planned. I arrived at the venue about 2 hours before it started and found one of the alumni association members ready to prepare the decoration and set up sign up tables at the foyer. As I helped with the tables I was startled to see the eager media team member who also arrived to help out with instruments as we took them from the storage to set up. Following that was a dedicated executive team, led by our current Chairperson (Amazement Overflow Titus) that came to help out with any necessary work. I have to intimate at this point that these ladies and gentlemen were dressed to kill, yet none of them hesitated to pick up whatever was required of them. This is what I call selflessness. I cannot forget the alumni association team, with their setup team, for the hard work they did pulled in organising decoration, snacks, etc. Thank you all for the great work you did. The alumni started arriving at 6pm for a meet and greet session. I cannot begin to express the joy my heart felt when I saw the old faces that groomed us to be where we are today. I am sure by now you have seen the pictures. I was too emotional and very thankful to God for such a great blessing – our ALUMNI. To each and everyone of you I am truly grateful for the wonderful presence. May you continue! The service: The service started a bit late (7:06pm to be exact) due to the excitement that was going on at the foyer coupled with a few issues with the sound system. I will never forget the worship led by Tshidi Amu and the worship band. The worship team looked so beautiful and the anointing just fell on the whole theatre. Indeed, God was in our mist, as His word declares in Matthew 18:20. The testimony by Amulet gave us courage and hope in that the same God who began UCTSCF in 1985 shall finish His work in our lives. We were blessed indeed. We had missed the ministry of the arts team. Thanks to Mzwandile Ntamo, Khulekani Fisokuhle Ndlovu, Aluh Nkosi and Valerie Ramaotsoa, the play really convicted many. That was ministry in itself. Thank you guys. We really saw how ministry through the arts used to be back in the days. We had missed Silindokuhle Magubane with the announcements. WOW! That was beautiful. Diana’s dance ministered to us and truly reminded us of the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross for our sins. We truly thank God for salvation. The discussion was very entertaining. It was great seeing the likes of Vusi Matse, Best Khosa, Sabelo Mkhwanazi and Psalmist Hulisani MrSuit. Great discussion. UCTSCF needed to hear the word that was shared by Ps Ligisani Nefale on “The Four Layers of Success”. What a word! I can’t even go on to explain the revival it brought to those who were disheartened, the joy it brought to the sorrowful, the grace it preached to the backslidden. It was a word for this season! Thank you God for the prophetic Word upon UCTSCF. The Gala Dinner: This session took me aback and I started introspecting myself and why I choose to live for Jesus. It was one of the most emotional sessions of my life, particularly the part where all the alumni took a picture together. I will not go into detail of how the event went but I assure the reader that this event started a new relationship between the alumni and the fellowship. This relationship shall be established throughout 2015 as we have our 30th anniversary year as the fellowship. I send my gratitude to Mr Malcolm Salida and his lovely wife for gracing us with their presence. We can never forget the guest Pastor, Pst Sam Masigo. The food was spot on! Decoration was too good. I now know what they mean when they say Decoration is ministry. Live Instrumental Worship (LIW), led by Khathu Nematei played great music and truly blessed us. We also thank God for all the cameras that were in the venue because we took many selfies and “us-es”. Thank you to everyone who made the day a success. Conclusions: Lastly, this event could not have been possible if it weren’t for the love of God for UCTSCF. We truly thank God for His love. Thus, all the praises and glory shall go back to Him. We did all of this to the glory of God. We are always satisfied when His name is glorified. We thus, ask that you pray with us to continue being the voice of Christ on Campus. You can also partner up with us but joining us every Friday at 6:50pm in Zoo 1 for our services. To our alumni: May God continue to be revealed in you all as you lead the different spheres of the business world. We know that you are busy and we truly appreciate the time you make for us. In the words of my chairperson to me as we prepared this report to you, “It is neither the critic who counts; nor the man who points out how strong man stumble, or where the doer of deeds have them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, who strives valiantly, who errs, because there is no effort without an error & shortcoming; but he who strives to do deeds; who know great enthusiasms, great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement.” Recommendations: We recommend that you ALL START PLANNING YOUR YEAR NOW FOR NEXT YEAR. PLEASE KEEP YOUR CALENDER CLEAR FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2015. We hope to see you all at the 30th celebration. Please do your best to be there as we would like to have a HUGE event for our celebration. This is what we need from you – partnership, not sponsorship. I thank you Signed by: Blazing PRO Saks PRO, UCTSCF 2013/2014
