On behalf of this wee guy; an amazing brother and son l would like to that the NHS for supply the support, expertise and equipment that brought him from a 1 year old who couldnt hold his head up, had a double c curved spine and choked approximately 20 times a day into an amazing child who can run, climb mountains and command a room with his witty sense of humour. Kainan may always require support and supervision but without the NHS l wonder where he would be now. Is everything okay ? I here you ask. Yes he is amazing. I just felt as the referendum draws closer and so many people remain undecided l wanted to ask these questions If on September the 18th you vote no or decide to not vote you are for all intents and purposes voting to privatise the health service. My question is this. Are you absolutely sure that you and yours will always be able to afford private health care? If so will it cover those medical issues that arent seen as life threatening? Are you so sure you know whats round the corner? Remember always read the small print. I would hope so. I would hope that your family are fortunate enough never to have to endure poverty, redundancy, zero hours contracts, I would hope that you can afford the fees to send your children to uni. I would hope this for everyone in Scotland; no the world. I would hope this and more; but Im a realist. Vote No to decimate the NHS and allow big businesses to decide which cancer drug your medical insurance allows you to have. Vote No to ensure your children will have to pay for a university education. Vote no to continue to contribute to illegal wars. Vote No for continued austerity. Vote No because someone told you to. Vote No because you like the Tories. vote No because it has less letters than Yes. Vote No because even though all the independent financial research bodies tell us that Scotland generates over £1000 more per head per head per year than England, you would rather Westminster told you how to spend part of the money we give to them. Vote no because your grandfather fought in wwII.(btw so did mine, however Im pretty sure he told me he was fighting against Nazism spreading across the world. But that might have been a different world war). Vote No because you like B&Q. Vote No because 2000 pensioners dying prematurely every year through hyperthermia because they cant afford gas prices is an acceptable loss. Or Vote YES for a fairer society, that values health care, education, peace. A country that nurtures and protects its youth, its pensioners, its disabled and most vulnerable members. A country that can not only be financially self sufficient but be an economic innovator and leader. Vote YES for your children and grandchildren.
