On last evening I was selected to preside on a panel, whos sole purpose was to elect the best possible candidates, applying for 3 positions; Mr. Miss. & Closetball Ebony Elegance. Regardless who is judges, there will always be someone who has questions, concerns, or opposing views on a score that was given, a comment that was made, or placements given. Again, its not possible to compete and judge simultaneously. For ever point I deduct, it is accommodated with a corresponding comment. I was trained to believe, only one point may be deducted per flaw. If youre under the impression youre flawless in the dressing area, once youve sold your garment, and return to the dressing area, look in the mirror and ask, Are you still flawless? Never assume the image you evoke cant be critiqued. Its a competition, our purpose is to search for flaws, in an attempt to crown he or she who is less flawed.
