On my 7 hour car ride home today from Alabama. I had a lot of time to think and ponder. Which most of the time isnt really good. Anyways... I was amazed about how blessed I am, but I started to wonder what makes a man so blessed? It didnt take long and God throws a scripture out at me. Blessed are those who are generous -psalm 22:9 I believe its what we are thankful for and the willingness to give that makes us truly blessed. Its not just giving the big things or being thankful for the big things, its more about the small things. Like having a family that loves you and supports you or friends that will go the extra mile with you or the love of a significant other or the leadership of a mentor. These things seem so small, but truly these things are all what really matter in life. The disciple James said this in James 5:2 Your wealth is rotting away, and your fine clothes are moth-eaten rags. Our thankfulness to the things that matter determines how blessed we are as people. I am so thankful for my family, friends and mentors that made this day so special. You are the people Im most thankful for and the reason I am so blessed!
