On my mind today is the birthday of my Mom, Margaret Helen Moore Luttrell, born August 1, 1919. She had four children, loved all kinds of animals, was a beautiful artist, and made a home out of the basement of a gift shop 20 miles from nowhere. She picked me up from school, dropped me off at the barn, and came back to get me while dinner cooked. She took us to all our horse shows and drove around after church waiting for all the kids to change into barn clothes, then dropped us off at the barn on her way back to the shop. She had slumber parties with spaghetti dinners, and let us eat hot dogs for breakfast. Thanks, Mom.
