On my personal opinion, I was suggesting US F16 Multirole fighter which I wrote on my 2011 blog and was viewed by many. Hereunder. I am very much familiar with this aircraft. How it can effectively evade incoming missiles with its bank, roll, emmellmann and split-s capabilities. But I realize at this stage, Korean technology is good enough for us. F-50 is very ideal for training, reconnaisance and of course to carry out mission if necessary. And Im sure we can get technical support from our brother Koreans. USFK is having an advance military technology with the help of US DoD. When we already have ace pilots, then we can upgrade to F-16. As a multirole fighter, it can carry out air to air, air to ground and even strike at moving targets like military convoys or cargo vessels even during night time because of its infra-red night vision called LANTIRN. But take note: MOST OF THE INPUTS FOR THIS PLANE IS COMING FROM THE COMPUTER. So it requires satellite and radar navigational systems. It also uses satellite-, radar- and laser-guided missiles and bombs to effectively hit the target. So the requirements must be considered before buying this plane. Thats why I was suggesting here also C4ISR technology to implement an advanced military program. Should you want modernization to come to this. We can work on that in purely professional and less political manner.
