On my run yesterday with Cheyenne, my belt buckle got stuck on the saddle horn right after 1st barrel. So as she tried running to 2nd....I was almost on her neck trying to get unhooked Yes....she was on the loose as I was just trying to stay on!!!! But.....I was really just trying not to fall off.....And that I did succeed in!!!!! So the only bad thing is I didnt finish the pattern and my brand new jeans are now ruined!!!! Small price to pay!!!!! I was just happy to not fall off and get hurt!!!! Scary, but hope to race in Akron Thursday night to end on a good note before my surgery on the 10th!!!!! The fun of horses!!!!!! I just LOVE my horse....as long as we have fun and are ok.....I dont care what happens..... I saw this today.....and its so true. Love it! Barrel Racing Im a barrel racer Lord. A quick time is all I need. Just turn these 3 barrels with a decent amount of speed. Ive hauled a lot of miles to run this horse of mine. To make each barrel race and then the next one down the line. If its a spill that I take, please Lord keep the dirt soft. For another run Ill make just as soon as I dust off. My chin Ill keep it up and my tears Ill try to hide. Then Ill climb back in my saddle ever anxious for my next ride. With heart and will in hand to win or lose with grace. For some other girl will want to win this very same barrel race. So let us ride as one, Lord...my barrel horse and me. For hard work and perseverance, I believe this is the key. Weve trained and weve worked hard and if I win you know of coarse, to you Ill give the Glory, to You and to my horse.
