On one side you have people who are very talented, but lack the dedication to make it big and the ability to handle the early success, who fail and then disappear like Vinod Kambli. Then we have people who are not really talented, work day and night for years to make it big. Rahul Dravid, Rafael Nadal. Whatever these guys do, they will in most cases be second to what most people think are the GOATs aka Sachin and Federer. And then we have people who are very talented, see early success, but are brilliant in handling success, failures and all the pressure that a nation of 1 billion put on their shoulders for 24 years. While most people handle failures fairly well, its the ability to handle success and to be on top for long is what shows character, something that Sachin displayed in majestic fashion.
