On our second or third year of marriage on my birthday in January, I had come home from work to find Britt and my mother in the kitchen all excited about something. They were practically bursting at the seams. And then a limousine pulled up outside and I found out that Britt had planned a weekend away for us out at Cape Cod, Mass. My mother had packed my bag for the trip and all I had to do was grab my purse and go. Britt was SO happy about being able to do that for me. He took me shopping and then out for a wonderful dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and then we were taken to a wonderful hotel where we celebrated as much as we wanted. He LOVED surprising me. Even with little things. He would go to the store and bring home my favorite ice cream or a new snow globe or my favorite candy. Just for nothing but that he loves me so much.
