On second viewing of Man of Steel, I am giving it a good+ grade, not great or awesome, like I had hoped, but not a disappointment either. Henry Cavill was great as Superman. The script could have used some more work. While Superman Returns was lacking on the Superman action, this one is mostly Superman action and the CGI was not as good as it could have been. I think some shots looked weird because of the need to try and make them look 3D. I hate 3D. 3D does not work for me. I made the mistake of seeing it in 3D last night and it almost ruined it for me. I saw it again in 2D and it was a lot better. So, good movie, sets up the sequel, which I hope will have a better script, and made a bunch of money, so there will be a new one.
