On selected Thursdays during the free period (12:30 until 1:30 pm), the library presents Brown Bag Talks featuring faculty, staff, and friends of the UNC Asheville community sharing recent research, publications, or even hosting discussions on topics relevant to the community. This Thursday we are pleased to highlight the recent work of our own Tommy Hays, acclaimed author and Director of the Great Smoky Mountains Writing Center. Mr. Hays will be reading selections from his recently published middle-grades novel What I Came to Tell You and discussing it. The novel (which is enjoyable for everyone, not just middle-school aged folks) features a dynamic, moving story set against a familiar landscape: our own Asheville. As usual, light refreshments will be served, so we hope to see you there!
