On tap for this mornings Classic Vinyl Sunday - Well, since Im sitting in an airport on the way home from NYC, Im not exactly listening to vinyl. However, if I WAS, Id be listening to George Harrisons All Things Must Pass. I have a particularly clean DJ Promo copy with great sound and very few pops or ticks. My second choice is Dixie Dregs What If. Headed up by Steve Morse, who would go on to rock fame and fortune in Kansas and Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs What If offers an eclectic mix of southern rock, classical and jazz influences. It is, by far, the Dregs best effort. Even though I cant listen to my vinyl today, Im still taking my Sunday break/boycott from the 24/7 stream of perpetual sensationalism passing for news. Ear buds in place, Harrison and Dregs cranked and Im loving my Sunday! Enjoy the rest of your weekend, everyone, and take some time today to stop what youre doing and listen to some good music!
