On the 1st day of lunar new year, I saw a parking attendance riding his motorbike and stopping below my block. I was about to drive off to visit my mom but felt bad knowing that at least 50 cars will be booked if I do not do anything. I ask my wife to wait for a while as I decided to alight my car and approached the parking attendance who pulled out his recording device to note down the car number directly in front of him. I ask him in Singlish, brother, its Chinese New Year, dont kacheow and spoil people holiday la... He replied, just take down number only, no summon. Im not sure if he has taken down the car number but he boarded his bike and rode away. I wish him happy new year as he drove off and he also replied happy new year. Not sure if hes truthful about the no summon, write down number only but either way I felt happy that day cause at least 50 car owners were spared from an unhappy lunar new year 1st day due to the booking.
