On the 20th Ramadan 7 years ago an event took place which changed my life forever... Who would have known that the morning on that particular Jummah I would wake up and receive news that would shake me to the core... I found out that my mother had passed away... The same day when people were getting ready to sit itikaf and waiting for the maghrib azaan I was stood in the graveyard placing my mother in her grave... When the azaan for maghrib was being heard in the graveyard my mother went into itikaf and has never returned... May Allah swt grant her the highest status in Jannah tul Firdaus... Cherish your moments especially with your parents because you will long for them when they are gone... And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small." Al-Isra 17:24
