On the International #DayOfTheGirl, we celebrate Malala Yousafzais historic Nobel Peace Prize by calling on the global community to take her lead and continue calls to rescue almost 300 abducted Nigerian schoolgirls. Yousafzai travelled to Nigeria this year, to demand the release of the schoolgirls: To the girls of Nigeria and across Africa, and all over the world, I want to say: dont let anyone tell you that you are weaker than or less than anything, she said in a speech. You are not less than a boy. You are not less than a child from a richer or more powerful country. You are the future of your country. You are going to build it strong. It is you who can lead the charge. Its up to all of us to keep the issue of rape & gender violence on the international agenda!
