On the Lewis Leathers jukebox today... Weve put the punk rock on pause to make way for a bit of folky prog rock by way of the hairy and eccentric Jethro Tull - fronted by singer and flautist Ian Anderson, here in a Europa jacket by Lewis Leathers. This performance of their classic song Living In the Past is from an episode of pop music show Supersonic, complete with Mike Mansfields introduction. It was shot in 1976 while the band was promoting their concept album Too Old To Rock: Too Young To Die, about a rocker called Ray who cant adjust to present day fashions, complete with a hilarious comic strip in which the protagonist wins a TV quiz show, gets famous, steals a taxi with a posh girl in Knightsbridge (outside Horrids department store) before getting dumped and going for a ride on his Triumph! More on this a little later on. Tull fans will also appreciate the equally theatrical onstage performance of the 1976 album, which features a number of our jackets being worn, and swapped by members of the band throughout the show bit.ly/Tull1976 Thanks to our follower Richard Allgood who spotted the Lewis Leathers jacket in this clip. The distinctive Europa Jacket No. 439 from Lewis Leathers features smart linear padding on the shoulders, arms and waistband and a unique three panel arm construction. It is available in black at our central London shop or made-to-measure in a whole range of coloured leathers bit.ly/LLEuropa
