On the el train going to downtown in the morning everyone is on their phones blocking out the crowd. However once we get to the tunnel I see everyone Look Up as their Facebook, etc stops to load. However the Candy Crushers continue.... On one of my rides there was a little kid looking out in wonder outside as it appeared to be his first time on the train seeing things wiz by. The excitment and joy on his face was adorable...sadly his mother was on her phone and ignored his tugs of wanting to share his joy. That newness and wonder people loose as they get older and faster now as people have this little box and stop looking around and noticing things. The Ipad generation is in deep trouble as they follow their parents example. The phone makes the long ride to work less drudging however it is and will be indugled far too much.
