On the flip side. Once again I am impressed as hell as to the joy and lengths people will go to play this game. Last night just before dark, another entourage if medieval people walked by shopping. A small retinue (4or5) of guards in perfect Norman sgt. or common soldier kit, escorting a Norman man and his wife, equally looking like they stepped out of a book, with all appropriate retainers, a clergyman, children and a cart to carry their shopping. Not because they were royalty or a baron, but because this group of people (about 15 in all) wanted to do it right. And the result was that many if the onlookers treated them with equal or greater respect and adoration than the royalty and barons walking around with less of a cohesive group or trappings. The pay off is that in my book, they did it right and it makes me want to do it right. Hats off to you my Norman friend. You win the game. As evidenced by every one else also thinking you won.
