On the flip side, there was also a Sandals Resorts job fair being hosted at the conference centre that I was at today. Thousands of people were there looking for a job despite the limited vacancies available, and it seemed as though the organisers didnt quite know how to handle the crowd on the outside. People were desperate to get in but organisers were only letting in a handful at a time. This system resulted in fights, frustration and fainting due to the heat....Kudos to those who showed up and made the effort despite the chaos. With an unemployment rate of 13.2%, I only hope that the organisers can better plan for similar numbers at the next event.
