On the last day of our stay in Otavalo we awoke to the sound of a band playing in the square just half a block from our hotel. After breakfast we went down to check out the action. This little old fellow was dancing up a storm all by himself, oblivious to the rest of us. Some of the indigenous peoples here in the Ecuador highlands are very short. Very, very short by our North American standards. Many of them barely come up over my elbow when Im standing in a normal position. I wish I could say its because Im so tall but unfortunately most of you know otherwise. :) Im about average height for my generation.
