On the movie Noah: Well, I have to say that I disagree with my two friends, though I highly respect them and agree on almost everything else. But I also disagree with the Christians who say not to see it. I think its an amazing secular film. And I wanted to (and did) love it, but it was hard to knowing its supposed to be from the Bible. Even going in to see it knowing it would be the way it was, was hard. Its a movie directed by an Atheist who says himself its nothing like the story. Spoilers. Dont continue if you dont want to know info. It wasnt as bad as I thought, they even had a nice Christian like ending. BUT the three major things I couldnt get over as a Christian watching something based off of the Bible. And that was the magic so commonly used throughout the movie, especially by Noahs grandfather. Normally I have no problem about magic movies, like Chronicles of Narnia and Lord of the Rings. But the magic used in this movie, I didnt like. Also the fallen angels. Of course we know about fallen angels, and they got the watchers thing right. But in this movie they help Noah and are allowed back in heaven. Thats not quite as bad as letting Satan back, but pretty close. The last was, of course, Noah and thinking he was supposed to kill his grandchildren. Of course, that gets explained and as I said, ends in a good way. Not sure if I should explain it or not in this. If you want to know, Ill say. So as a Christian I give this 3 stars. But as a movie goer who loves movies like this, I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
