On the news tonight: a report on the hot spell near San Diego and how firefighters are battling a huge blaze and they are working 16 hours a day. What really got me was the next statement. These firefighters are risking their lives and are being paid $11.00 an hour. WHAT!!!! they risk their lives and are paid a measly $11 an hour?? If I was risking my life I sure as hell wouldnt do it for $11 an hour. Speaks volumes about the US....
