On the summit of Carter Dome NH now, tucked in my tent (pic), as the sun goes down in the west( pic) The temperature is dropping to Zero, as the winds seem to be getting stronger as they swirl around my buffeting tent....and I couldnt be happier. Life can be so complicated. ..with all its constant noise. Here its pretty simple, just taking care of your health, shelter, warmth, food...all the while having thoughts of the people you love. So Zen, back on the Appalachian Trail...where I was a year ago, back then in Virginia...the Trail that changed my life forever in 2014, for the better. Camped last night, new years eve, on summit of South Carter. Cold, still evening in my tent, lite up by the moon and stars. Cold morning today. ..as they all are, braking camp in the winter. Traversed across the ridge, over Mt. Height and visited with my father for a bit at the little memorial I have there . Now its dark..and .I have my 3 candle candelabra swaying side to side in the roof of my tent, a result of the increasing wind. I think about what can, what might be or will be in 2015. I can only say that I will try very hard to be a kinder, patient and more compassionate person to my family, loved ones, friends and who ever a meet in the year ahead. May you all have a great and healthy 2015. Now...time for a nice hot dinner..living the dream!!!
