On the way back from KIAG, there was a well developed thunderstorm - TopicsExpress

On the way back from KIAG, there was a well developed thunderstorm sitting right on top of the LVZ VOR, which was wreaking havoc on the traffic on the airways coming into the NYC area, as everyone was deviating to stay clear of the weather. Then I hear the following on Wilkes Barre Approach: WBA: Regional jet xxx fly a heading of y, and slow to z. (Sorry, I cant remember the specifics.) I have you sequenced behind a Cessna. RJ: A CESSNA!?! Like a 172!?! WBA: Yeah, sorry guys, I tried but Allentown approach wont give the Cessna a shortcut. RJ: Well, its only like were burning 2,000 pounds of fuel an hour. Gotta love GA! Sorry guys, that Cessna was me....
