On the way to my brothers house in Boulder, a light came on our dashboard with the message that the car would shut down in 1000 miles. Hmmm. I took it to the dealership here in Boulder this morning and had them check it out. Turns out it needed a fluid change (the fluid that keeps the diesel engine easy to start in the winter) and they were able to get to it right away. Since its not winter, the car would have been fine, but its set to shut down if the service is not done before the allotted mileage. Anyway, now its done and I dont have to worry about it again for another 50,000 miles. And it didnt cost us anything because the cars still under warranty. Well leave here tomorrow and drive to Colorado Springs and stay there for a couple of days seeing the sights. Then well head home.
