On this July 4th, I’ve decided to write my own “Declaration of Independence”. There are things in my past I need to settle before going forward in my life. My name is Vincent Snyder, I’m 46 years old. I’ve been married for 7 years and have two wonderful children. I’ve lived in Florida, Oregon, Washington and Utah. I’ve been working in the High Tech field for the past 25 years for various High Tech firms. I’m a recovered drug addict (pain killers and marijuana) and recovered heavy drinker. I’ve been smoke free for 5 years after 20+ years of smoking. To one Jenny Rothschild, you accused me in High School that I raped you to get our mutual friends on your side. Your allegations were false as you wanted to get your revenge. Your actions caused me more grief than you will ever know. You got your wish of our friends siding with you then and still do to this day. I forgive you for your actions. I feel sorry for you and our mutual friends that side with you that even after 30 years it still goes on. You are not worth my time anymore to care about, think about or worry about. To some of my classmates that thought I was different or special. Yes, I have disabilities that were not discovered until 15 years ago. I’ve ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia and other learning disabilities. I learn by repetition, I have problems learning by book or audio due to these disabilities causing me the inability to focus. These are the reasons why I had problems in school and not one of the teachers or school administrators tried to work with me or understand how to overcome them. Since then I’ve learned how to control this and make it work to my advantage. I’m blessed to have a supportive wife and family who know my issues and helps me overcome them. To those of you who have stuck by my side through the years, I am a very grateful person to have you in my life. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!
