On this date, 10 years ago, Carlos and I woke to 23 inches of snow. He did not sleep much that night as he was a super and had to shovel. We received phone calls that urged us to cancel because we would have a low turnout. But we were determined. We trekked in Tims and bundled in our NF coats, fancy threads in tow and we had a BLAST celebrating our love despite the weather. Its not always been easy or fun. It takes work every single day, dedication, and lots of sacrifice but I am so happy that we did it and continue to do it every day - focused on building the life we together want to lead, building our family, cultivating our own traditions, setting an example for our siblings (we only hope), and knowing with confidence that we are there for each other through it all. The best part of it all is that we have been immensely blessed to have Sofia who keeps us in check, even more tightly bonded, and even more focused on pressing on and forward. She is a constant reminder of him and how great he is to us and to me. Happy Anniversary to my love! I wish for many many many more years together striving to be our best selves.
