On this date 12 years ago the United States was attacked. I remember I was in 5th grade sitting in English class when the principal came over the intercom to announce that classes were being suspended for the day. I was overcome with joy but, that joy was short lived when he then said that the United States was under attack and to turn on tvs to channel 3. When we did we watched in horror as the second plane struck the south tower then shortly later watched as both towers came crashing down. I remember coming home that night and not hearing a single bird or plane over head. To this day i get emotional when i think about that day and all the lives lost. I think about all the families that endured great loss and the 343 heroes that answered their last alarm that day. I will fly my flag proudly as i do every day and pause, think and remember that day. The day that i will remember for the rest of my life. So I ask where were you on 9.11.01?
