On this day June 25th 1876 at a place called the Greasy Grass, Native warriors defeated American troops in a bloody battle. These were men and women who fought back to resist the governement confining natives to reservations, fighting off invaders in their lands, natives that were no longer going to negotiate with a governement that had violated the treaties that had been signed. In absolute definace to the US war departments orders to return back to the reservations they stood and fought. Custer and his troops were anihilated to the very last man, this was marked as the worst defeat upon US Army in the long PLains Indian War... Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, leaders of the Sioux tribe on the Great Plains and all the brave warriors that fought and died that day, these are war heroes. In the Spirit of Resistance.
