On this day as the rain mist falls and as the wind blows, my mind is drawn to remember Jesus and his time spent in prayer in the garden before his arrest. I wonder what he really said in that prayer. Yes, we have the words, Father not my will, but your will. Those are the words. I wonder what he said. The tone. The way he breathed. Was his heart racing? In his mind he knew what he was facing, but in his heart, how did his humanity not make him just turn and go the other way. To have that kind of love for a sinner like me is almost too much for me to understand. Think about those that you love today. What are you willing to give up for them? What are you willing to do for the ones you love that goes beyond what you normally do? Now, what are you willing to do for the ones you dont like? What are willing to do to help them grow and reach their full potential? We are called to go beyond the scope of what is normal and safe and care for all of Gods children. We can do that when we start the whole process by spending some time in prayer. Today may you take some time to go to your own garden and pray.
