On this day in 1775, Paul Revere took his famous midnight ride to warn colonists of the movements of the British army. In addition to being one of the first American military intelligence agents Paul Revere was also one of the first to use forensic identification techniques to identify fallen soldiers. In one instance Paul Revere recognized dental work he had done on Major General Joseph Warren, identifying his remains and allowing the family to be able to give him a proper funeral.
