On this day in history, in 1663, the English Parliament passed an Act requiring that all goods bound for the American Colonies had to be sent in English ships from English ports. This Act occurred during the lifetime of Jonathan and Grace Fairbanks and is just one of several that fueled the hostilities between the people of New England and the English Monarchy. Eventually, these tensions reached a breaking point, in 1775. Seven men, from the Fairbanks House, put their lives on the line for Freedom.
