On this day in the year 1970, the most beautiful event happened in my life. The Lord blessed us with a gift from heaven by the name of Raechelle Elizabeth. She was 21 inches in length, and was the first born to us and the first GrandChild in both our families. At that time, they didnt allow Dads in the delivery room, and after much pleading, I was allowed but had to sign a waiver. When she was born, Dr. Snow handed her to me so I could hold her. It was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in my life. I cried tears of joy. She was born in West Seattle General Hospital, and on that same day, another broadcaster in Seattle had a baby girl. He worked for KOMO and I worked for KWYZ. When we took her home, I will never forget making sure she was breathing and secure. My Grandmother who was in medicine gave advice along with both our parents. You know this was all new to both of us at the time. So to my first born and the greatest Daughter a man could ever have, all my love and blessing to you Princess Rachelle.
