On this day last year our family lost one of the greatest men I have ever loved. Some days the pain is still as raw as ever. I cant escape the tears when I think about all of the memories he is missing out on that I know he would love to see. This man loved his grandkids with all his heart and loved his great grandchildren just as much. With the memories he is missing comes memories I will never forget. The chocolate covered raisins always on his coffee table, sneaking into his sacred chair while he wasnt paying attention just to see what he would say this time (it was usually a joke about us being cut from his will), making his scotch just right (3 fingers of scotch with 4 ice cubes), the 3 years of family pictures taken on a camera with no film in it, or when he bought me my favorite flowers (lilies, which were also my grandmas favorite) on my wedding day so that I didnt have to walk down the aisle with the fake flowers provided by our photographer because its all we could afford. Rest in peace Grandpa. We all miss you dearly.
